Specialist – my transcription

Specialist (click me)

Per Fran’s request, here’s my transcription of “Specialist”! It’s not perfect, but the basic information is there (I didn’t transcribe 3:52-5:41 because it’s mostly a repeat of earlier stuff). Just click the word “Specialist” above and you’ll see the PDF.

Cheers,

Meg

Update: And here it is with tabs! Specialist tabs

  1. Hi Meg, It’s been too much busy last days …. so decided to take a break and work from home today and what a surprise !!! you did it very quick a way more than expected 😀 !!! Thanks you so much…i’ll need some weekends to “digest” your transcription as I’m on early stages of learning to play…
    kindest regards 🙂

  2. Hi Meg!

I’m writing the second part on Obstacle 2 lyrics. I’m concentrating on the first verse which from the poetic form viewpoint is:
“I’m gonna pull you in close
    gonna wrap you up tight
    gonna play with the braids
that you came here with tonight
    I’m gonna hold your face
and toast the snow that fell
    Because friends don’t waste
wine when there’s words to sell”

If you have time could you help me by making a transcription of vocal melody for this bit? And if you have any comments on how the instruments influence and relate to the vocals. I would be more than thankful!!!

    Warm Regards,
    Minna

P.S. Your Specialist analysis is amazing!

    • Hi Minna, I’d love to do that! I’ll post the transcription here on the blog and then link to your blog! Looking forward to reading what you have to say about the lyrics!

  3. Hi Meg… thank you so much … I’m swamping into the tab to study it !
    cheers
    Fran
